Hello, friends! I’m a little sad to say this, but – Hello, Monday. Don’t you hate how it always sneaks in there, haha. But here we are. I’m so, so sad because our weekend was so awesome! Saturday was filled with the usual basketball game, in this case, it was a 4 game day. On our way back home we decided that this weekend would be a good time to enjoy each other and this beautiful city that we live in. (I was a little sad because I was set to go out and meet some awesome fellow Seattle Bloggers – next time for sure!)
And we did just that! The rest of our Saturday was filled with pool time. Seattle Summer, while beautiful, has been a little stingy with sunshine. So we definitely have to take advantage of it! Plus we get to cross it off of our Summer Bucket List – awesome!
On Sunday we decided to be brave and take the kids to the Bite of Seattle. We haven’t been there since the boys were babies. I couldn’t have picked a better way to end our weekend. With 2 of my favorite things in life – my family and food. The Bite of Seattle is the premier food festival in Seattle and helps kick off a huge Seattle Summer party, SeaFair. It is seriously one of favorite times of the year! It’s a huge party with pirates, Blue Angels, hydroplanes, parades, cultural celebrations and races. There is so much to love.
We sampled a ton of different culinary delights, but our collective favorite this time were the elephant ears. Warm, cinnamon-y sugar goodness – yum! And as my Miss Eleanor made sure to point out to us, they were actually elephant ears because are golden brown not gray. The mind of a 3yo, got to love it!
After all is said and done, Seattle, we love you! What an awesome weekend!
xo,
Andrea

Looks like an awesome weekend! Where or where do you find the time for all your laundry? p.s. I’m still smiling from Ellie’s dancing video. SO GREAT!
Don’t even ask me about the laundry, it is insane! Ellie’s dance video is pretty epic. I had the hardest time not laughing while she was doing her thing, haha.
Oh gosh, the laundry never ends for me either. I can hear the dryer burbling away right now.
