Happy Tuesday, my friends! I’ve got something delicious to share with you today. There are many, many reasons why I love calling Washington, and more specifically the Seattle-area my home. We’ve got mountains + oceans, we’ve got city + country, we’ve got wine + food. But more importantly, we have Seattle Restaurant Week!
For a few glorious days in April and October, the food loving masses get to enjoy 3-course meals for dirt cheap. (Lunches for $15 and Dinner for $28). Because of this genius concept, my husband and I have been able to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with delicious food without needing to take out a second mortgage.
There are so many restaurants participating it makes deciding where to dine a little daunting. Do you want to be adventurous and try a new type of cuisine? Or, do you choose an old favorite? You might even base your selection on the ambiance.
Since we were celebrating my birthday, I had the honor of picking. Before making the reservation, I had one major consideration to factor in – we are both in fitness challenges until the beginning of summer! So, wherever we dine it has to be ‘carb friendly’. With that in mind, I chose Six Seven Restaurant and Lounge at The Edgewater Inn.
I wanted to dine at a restaurant with a great view + ambiance. Having already been to the lounge, I knew it fit the bill. Think bringing the great outdoors in, but in a cool, classy modern way. AND, I could not forget that the hotel and restaurant sit on pier 67, so you have a stunning view of the ocean with the panoramic glass windows. (Those definitely came in handy when I took pictures) After peeking at the menu, simple ingredients + delicious flavors, I knew we had to eat here. Plus, it met our diet restrictions – score!

These were our dinner selections. They were all so unbelievably good! The BLT salad I would say is more candied bacon with lettuce on the side – the husband was definitely pleased.
Do you have a ‘restaurant week’ where you live? I would love to hear all about it!

Andrea
