Recap | Portland Bazaar

Hello, friends!  This past weekend was far less busy than usual.  And since we are always on the go, it felt sort of strange not having to be at a certain place at a certain time.  Believe me, I don’t always feel this way.  When the chance to veg out and do thing presents itself, I’m usually all over it!  But when you have a ‘free’ day and it so happens to be the same day that something awesome not too far away is also going to happen – you have to go!

That something awesome was the Portland Bazaar.  After talking to many of the vendors, most of them running on little sleep from the day before, it was both awesome and crazy busy.  Luckily we got their just as the doors opened on Sunday morning, before the craft events and book signings began.  What did we find there?  So many wonderful things created by local Portland-area artists.  Things that make me happy and inspire me.

Love these vintage dresses from Yo Vintage.  Both of these came home with us, plus an awesome leopard print blazer!

So many awesome things at this booth, but I love that painted antler.  Nice Work. Bridge + Burn. Olo Fragrance.

These gorgeous pinwheel necklaces are on my wishlist.  So delicate and beautiful.  Stone+Honey

Loved the Egg Press booth.  Love the prints + their quirky cards.

Hanging paper mobiles from Frazier+Wing.

No, these were not available to purchase there =)  Eleanor and her cousin Miss C. were our helpers for the day.  Hopefully our trip, seeing all the different things you can make, will inspire them to pursue a creative job/endeavor in the future – I know it has inspired me.

12.12.11

Hello, my friends! Did you all have fun this weekend? We definitely did! After long, hard work week, Eugene and I got a chance to mix and mingle with his coworkers at his company’s holiday party.  Much needed fun and games.  Our Saturday was extra special with Isabella celebrating the sacrament of Reconciliation – she was all smiles after she left the confessional.  From there we explored Seattle with our cousin who was unexpectedly in town for the day.  So we ate world famous mac and cheese and saw fish fly at Pike Place Market.  And while we were in the area the boys went to the top of the Space Needle for the first time – awesome!  Sunday was another day full of fun.  Traveling to Portland to take in the 1st ever Portland Bazaar.  It. Was. Awesome!
I hope you’ve had an amazing Monday!
